The Bee’s Keys - Terms & Conditions - Updated 1st January 2026 

 

Monthly Payment Inclusions:

- 40 lessons over the school year

- Performance classes

- 12-month home subscription to Piano Maestro for iPad (valued at £45)

- Ongoing support via the Student Portal

- Studio licence for printed music and books

- The Book Lending Library, including supplementary exam books and 'One arm' books for injury scenarios

- Games Library

- Pupil incentives

- Flexible booking

- 20% discount code for musical instruments from Casio via https://www.casio.co.uk/em

 

Exclusions:

- The monthly fee does not cover exam books, scale books, method books, or any exam or competition entry fees.

Fees:

- £80 per month for 40 one-hour group lessons over the school year. There will be Eleven payments from September to July. (No payment is due for August.)

 

Payments:

- Payments are due on the 25th of each month for the following month's lessons.

- Lessons cancelled with less than 24 hours notice will be charged, and no makeup lessons will be provided.

 

Illness Policy:

- Students who are ill must not attend in-person lessons. Please notify us before your scheduled lesson time so we can arrange a reschedule.

Cancellation, No-Shows & Lesson Credits Policy

• Students wishing to discontinue lessons must email Sarah@TheBeesKeys.co.uk with one month's notice.

• No-shows and lessons cancelled within 24 hours of the appointment time will be charged, and no makeup lessons will be provided.

• No refunds will be given unless we are unable to provide the scheduled lessons.

• Lesson credits can be used flexibly by booking ad-hoc lessons through the student portal, including during school holidays and in any available slot.

• If you cancel your Direct Debit and give one month's notice, any unused lesson credits must be used by the end of your notice period. After this time, unused credits will be forfeited and cannot be carried over or redeemed in the future. 

• Credits are valid for lessons while you are an active student, but cannot be carried over or redeemed once you have left The Bee’s Keys. Unused credits are forfeited when a student finishes with us.

• These credits do not replace the monthly fee unless otherwise agreed.

• To book or use credits, log in to the student portal at https://www.pianolessonsinswindon.com/student-portal-login, select "Book Lessons," and choose your preferred time.

Makeup Lessons:

- Makeup lessons are possible under the following conditions:

  - The lesson was cancelled at least 24 hours in advance.

  - The student is ill (notification required any time before the lesson).

Rescheduling Lessons:

- Lessons can be rescheduled for any reason with at least 24 hours notice.

- To cancel or reschedule a lesson, log into the [student portal](https://www.pianolessonsinswindon.com/student-portal-login), navigate to 'Calendar,' select your lesson, and follow the prompts to either 'Cancel Attendance' or 'Register' for a new slot.

- If a suitable slot is unavailable in the same week, students may double up on lessons in a future week.

One-to-One Lessons:

- We do not offer one-to-one lessons as part of our standard services. Private tuition can be arranged directly with our self-employed teachers, with prices starting from £27.50 per half-hour session.
